I called Global Marketing for Specialized yesterday, asking the question all my red-blooded readers were asking: Will the Specialized Angel be making an appearance atop any of the big climbs yet to come at the TdG?
No.
Specialized has a fairly low-profile presence in Georgia this week. Their only official sponsorship is of KodakGallery.com-Sierra Nevada, for whom they provide helmets and electronics, so no Angel. It's a shame, since I was hoping to post Ken's awesome shot of the Angel from Sea Otter. Good news is, it's my site, so here goes:

It's great to read your personal coverage of the TdG. One of these years I'm going to make it out there. You should join us West Coasties for the ToC sometime -- more chances to get shots of the Specialized Angel :).
