I heard that traffic for the Brasstown stage was a little lighter than in years past, presumably because the stage was on Friday instead of Saturday.
But it looks like a full compliment of crazy fans made the effort. Besides Santa, there was the giant M&M and a devil in training.
Also on hand was last year's winner, Floyd Landis, signing autographs in a booth at the Expo.


I saw Santa climbing Brasstown Bald a couple years ago when it was actually cold for that stage. I didn't see him this year, but I bet he was pretty hot in that suit. It was definitely a beautiful day on the mountain this time around.

Any news on the spectator who crashed coming down after the stage? According to the AJC he survived. From what I saw that is a miracle.

Why isn't there more published about the rider who went down at brasstown? I am really curious...why we as riders aren't being a little more concerned with the loss of this person's life.
